In the internally finned (grooved) aluminum tubes, in order to increase the heat transfer of the tube with the working fluid, the inner surface of the tube is produced in the form of longitudinal or spiral grooves, which increase the area of the effective heat transfer surface and create a vortex flow in the main fluid and its uniform distribution in the inner space of the tube, increases the heat transfer rate. By expanding the heat transfer surface, compared to the normal smooth tube, the heat transfer coefficient of internal finned tubes can be increased 3 to 4 times.
The main consumption of this type of tubes is in refrigeration and thermal industries, where the increasing need to increase efficiency and reduce energy consumption is felt in these industries.
